IT sector contributes to the increase of Brazil’s GDP

Setor de TI contribui para o aumento do pib do brasil - t4i

In recent decades, with the development of the information technology area, profound changes have occurred in the world economy.

Information and communication technologies have been the main driving force behind dynamic changes in global wealth generation patterns. While the pattern of wealth accumulation is determined by tangible resources, immaterial goods, which today are still invisible, accumulate enormous value.

This phenomenon needs support, and the information technology market is rapidly developing in this regard. It is estimated that, just in the last 10 years, the number of companies created in the IT area has tripled, going from 13.4 thousand to 36.9 thousand. This represents a 43% increase in the number of companies operating in the area.

Therefore, the need to choose a good local service provider becomes even greater. Choosing a technology company with a history of big projects and different types of innovation has never been more fundamental to stand out.

Technological innovations in different business models

The IT sector combines different technologies based mainly on microelectronics, telecommunications and information technology. As a result, information departments were quickly established as part of other corporate structures.

If you want to innovate in 2023, there is no doubt that partnering with an IT company is a great opportunity. The sector’s versatility helps to understand the good performance in 2022. According to the IBGE, Information Technology was one of the best performing sectors of the Latin American economy last year, growing 12.3%.

The growth and appreciation of the market has attracted more and more new entrepreneurs who appear in the investment market. Since the technology area is attracting the attention of large companies and small corporations that seek to differentiate themselves with new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), business intelligence (BI) and data management.

With its easy drag-and-drop interfaces, by 2023, codeless AI will be part of most organizations and enable companies to build smarter products and services. This trend can already be observed in the retail market. It will be up to retail workers to adapt to working alongside machines.

No sign of growth slowdown

In the coming years, most new companies will use information technology services as the basis of their organization. The reason is that this market provides support and relevant technology structures for the innovation process and for the capillarity of different sectors. Even in rural areas, there are technologies that give advanced support to agribusiness, which accounts for 25% of the country’s GDP.

In the past, problems in the field, such as pests and diseases, could only be detected by visual monitoring. That is, the cultivation area needed to be physically visited, which made the process very slow and inefficient. Today, image detection technologies such as drone flights and the infrastructure to automatically identify crop failures can cover large areas in much less time.

The encouraging performance of the IT sector follows the upward trajectory observed in the last three years, that is, even in years of strong recessions. The digital transformation of companies has contributed significantly to the revenue of the Brazilian information technology sector, reaching the impressive mark of R$ 426.9 billion (US$ 76.7 billion) in 2020. The Brazilian IT market will only grow, even more in view of the times of economic transformation that the country is approaching.

Metaverse is one of the biggest promises of 2023

A more immersive web experience where you can work, play, and socialize on a persistent platform. 2023 will be the year that will set the direction of the metaverse for the next decade. Experts predict that the metaverse will add $5 trillion (R$26.54 trillion) to the global economy by 2030.

There will be the advancement of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). One promising area is the metaverse work environment, with the possibility of more immersive meeting environments.

Avatar technology — the figure we project when we interact with other users in the metaverse — will also be improved. It’s possible that this figure will soon look exactly like it does in the real world, as motion capture will allow our avatars to take on our unique body language and gestures.

Digital maturity in hospitals

Brazilian hospitals have been evolving in the journey of digital transformation, but there is still a long way to go in terms of innovations and improvements. According to the 2022 Digital Transformation Map (Folks Digital Health), the digital maturity index in Brazilian hospitals is 44% (on a scale of 0 to 100). This means that the sector is evolving, with the use of some basic solutions and the understanding of the importance of digital transformation by the leadership.

But digital transformation is not restricted to investment in technology, in fact, it involves many other aspects. Data analysis indicates, for example, that there is a need for specific training and programs to qualify employees in the health area.

One of the missions of T4i Solutions is to build technology solutions for the health area, with emphasis on the management of offices, clinics and health groups. Among some of the features developed for this segment are:

  • Platforms for optimizing the appointment schedule;
  • Platforms to maximize the productivity of companies and teams;
